This is an amazingly soft yet strong base that is a delight to work with in any project. A 4ply construction with 80% superfine alpaca and 20% silk has a sport weight with 287 yards on a 100gram skein. Great for crafters with wool allergies as there is no lanolin in either alpaca or silk. Please hand wash carefully as this is non-superwash and though not as easy to felt as wool, it is possible.

I purchased this yarn because I wanted to make something with soft yet vibrant colors. This yarn is absoluteky beautiful, the color matches the images on the website exactly. The yarn is unbeliebeably soft and luxurious. It's also a lot warmer than i thought it would be. I couldnt be more pleased with my purchase.
